Expanding Peer to Peer Opportunities
In partnership with the Gavin Foundation
Funder: Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration
Timeline: 2018 – 2021
The Gavin Foundation has been awarded funds through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration’s (SAMHSA) Center for Substance Abuse Treatment. With these funds, the Foundation’s Devine Recovery Center will expand and enhance recovery services to individuals who have involvement with the criminal justice system. More specifically, the project will provide an array of recovery support services (e.g., recovery coaching, linkages to healthcare, housing supports) to these Boston-area individuals. This project and its evaluation will be informed by peers in recovery.
Through a contract with the Gavin Foundation, the Division on Addiction will evaluate progress toward this project’s goals. We will monitor the services that are delivered and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for all project personnel and for SAMHSA. By identifying progress toward project goals, we will help Gavin Foundation project personnel continuously improve the services they deliver to justice-involved clients.
