St. Francis House (SFH), located in Boston, MA offers basic, rehabilitative, and housing services to adults experiencing homelessness. SFH recently opened a Recovery Support Center with funding from the Bureau of Substance Abuse Services. Faculty members at the Division on Addiction, Cambridge Health Alliance, a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital (the Division) will provide in-person educational sessions to Recovery Support Center staff, peer volunteers, and members. These trainings will cover a variety of topics, such as (1) the fundamentals of gambling and Gambling Disorder; (2) gambling and gambling-related problems among people experiencing homelessness; (3) co-occurrence of gambling-related problems and other behavioral health conditions, including implications for prevention, treatment, and recovery; and (4) addiction hopping/relapse prevention.
