The BASIS for Kids

The BASIS for Kids

Principal Investigator: Heather M. Gray, PhD
Funder: David H. Bor Library Fund, Cambridge Health Alliance
Timeline: 2017 – 2018

The BASIS for Kids will be an innovative addiction education and prevention program. For more than 20 years, the Division has produced The BASIS, a free online resource providing addiction science information to the public. Now, the Division is expanding The BASIS’s reach by creating The BASIS for Kids. The BASIS for Kids, built using input from the CHA community, will be an engaging tool for students to complete with their parents and discuss in class with the teachers and peers. Each module will focus on a different, potentially risky behavior.

The BASIS for Kids is currently in Phase I development, and the Division is actively seeking funds for Phase II. To learn more about The BASIS for Kids, email Dr. Heather M. Gray, Principal Investigator.
